Introduction

Al-Marj Teaching Hospital is a healthcare institution that provides medical services to citizens and contributes to the training of doctors and medical staff, while continuously striving to develop its services and enhance the level of care provided.

Case Study

Before the project implementation, the hospital faced multiple technical challenges, most notably weak internal networks, the absence of a comprehensive surveillance system, difficulties in communication between departments, and service interruptions during power outages.

ION Telecommunications and Technology Company implemented a comprehensive solution to upgrade the hospital’s infrastructure. The project included:

  •  Security Surveillance System (CCTV): High-resolution indoor and outdoor cameras, along with digital recording devices (NVR) with large storage capacities.
  •   Integrated LAN Network: Cables, switches, routers, and Wi-Fi access points covering all departments.
  •    Internal Communication System (VOIP): Network phones and a central server to facilitate communication between departments.
  •    Backup Power Systems (UPS): To ensure continuous operation of the network and cameras during power outages.
  •   Central Control Room: To monitor and manage all systems from a single point.

The project contributed to enhancing hospital security, improving network stability, and ensuring effective communication between medical and administrative departments.
